Ross Lyon has confirmed his interest in returning to St Kilda to coach after a four-hour meeting with the club’s hierarchy.

Paddy Sweeney told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast that Lyon walked out on St Kilda more than a decade ago.

The sports presenter recalled that he then took over Fremantle and hasn’t coached since 2019.

“Let’s not forget in 2011, he walked out of that club in sensational circumstances,” he said.

“More than a decade on, there is new people at the club clearly,

“But Ross Lyon now is the front runner to take that St Kilda job.”
