Optus’ nationwide outage has had severe impacts on transport, industry and life in general, with little explanation as to what has caused it.

EFTM.com.au’s Trevor Long told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the national carrier’s communication has been ‘appalling’ and without a clear statement from Optus, he can’t rule out a hacking attack.

“Without them saying otherwise, I just can’t rule it out,” Mr Long said.

“This is exactly the type of thing hackers attempt to do.”
