State Opposition Leader Shane Love announced that the Nationals Party will slash payroll tax if elected in March 2025.

Mr Love told Russell Collett on Perth Live, “As the leader of the Nationals Party I announced a plan for payroll tax reductions for small and medium business, and to lift the tax free threshold up to $1.3 million.”

“Which overall for businesses in Western Australia would be a huge relief for them.”

“It’s [payroll tax] a real inhibiter for business, it’s driving business to not put on extra staff, and it’s a real inhibiter of growth, so we actually want to give some relief to small businesses right across Western Australia,” Mr Love said.
