Mother pleads for free whooping cough vaccination booster

A New South Wales mother is urging parents to vaccinate their children following the death of a 4 week old Perth boy to Riley Hughes.
TONI McCAFFERY lost her daughter, who was also just four week old, to whooping cough six years ago.
Ms McCaffery says the booster shot for whooping cough is not currently completely covered by Medicare but it should be.
She told 6PR that health experts accept up to five infants a year dieing a year from whooping as acceptable.
