Premier Mark McGowan insists there’s no risk to Perth’s water supply despite government documents highlighting issues with Alcoa’s bauxite operations near Serpentine Dam.

The dam currently holds enough water to supply Perth’s population for two months of peak summer consumption.

Channel Nine State Political Reporter Michael Genovese told Gary Adshead Mark McGowan played the straight bat when answering questions.

“It’s about what happens to the sediment that could potentially run downhill and into that dam – but the straight bat was played that there is no risk,” Mr Genovese said.
