A number of suburbs within the City of Armadale have once again featured prominently in the latest crime statistics for Perth.

The suburb of Armadale is the second worst Perth suburb for crime in genera, but also takes silver as the worst suburb for assaults, home burglary and car theft.

The surrounding suburbs of Bedfordale, Brookdale, Camillo, Champions Lakes, Forrestdale, Haynes, Harrisdale, Hilbert, Karragullen, Kelmscott and Piara Waters also recorded an increase in crimes reported during the last financial year.

City of Armadale Mayor, Henry Zelones, has told Gary Adshead he doesn’t accept Armadale being branded a crime ‘hot spot’, and wants the problem addressed immediately.
