Marathon sitting for voluntary assisted dying Bill

The Legislative Assembly has sat for 20 consecutive hours while they examined the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill.
But the participants saw the importance of the debate in the detail.
“Because it’s important legislation, it’s detailed legislation,” Reece Whitby told Steve and Baz only minutes after they were dismissed.

The marathon sitting almost broke a 25-year record, but Mr Whitby says they were a mere three-minutes short.
