Rita Saffioti has become the first woman from Labor to become Deputy Premier of WA.

Officially pulling out of the race for premier late Tuesday afternoon, Ms Saffioti ran on a unified ticket with Roger Cook to secure the leadership.

Ms Saffioti spoke with Oliver Peterson this afternoon on 6PR’s Perth Live.
