How to give a gift with a difference this Christmas

Jamie Burnett

The State Government is urging West Australian’s to give the gift of travel this Christmas.

A new campaign was launched today encouraging people to give their loved ones vouchers towards accommodation, tours and attractions in WA.

Speaking with Oliver Peterson, Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall has welcomed the announcement.

“A gift voucher [for tourism businesses] will really go a long way,” he said.

“It’s going to be a pretty bleak Christmas to be honest.”

For ideas head to the “Give the gift of travel” website.

People visiting the website can choose from accommodation, tours and attractions catering to a range of interests including food and drink, nature and wildlife, and Aboriginal culture.
