Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage has landed in Perth ahead of beginning production on a new psychological-thriller surf film based in WA’s South West.

The film reportedly follows Nicolas Cage, a man returning to his hometown to find a local gang of surfers who have claimed ownership over his childhood beach.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ‘The Surfer’ decides to remain at the beach, declaring war against those in control of the bay. But as the conflict escalates, the stakes spin wildly out of control, taking ‘The Surfer’ to the edge of his sanity.”
