The State Government is confident the new Women’s and Babies Hospital in Murdoch is still on track, despite one of the builders having to withdraw.

Roberts Co appointed external administrators yesterday, leaving the $1.8 billion project in the hands of the State Government and WeBuild.

John Carey, WA Minister for Health Infrastructure, assured Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the project will not be impacted, as no contract is in place yet for that hospital.

“This is actually a demonstration of a system working in that there are many steps before a contract is signed,” he said.
