Harvey avoids ‘hypotheticals’ on Barnett

Deputy Premier Liza Harvey is adamant she has not spoken to Premier Colin Barnett about what would happen if his position becomes untenable.

The statement comes as Transport Minister Dean Nalder confirmed that he met with Treasurer Mike Nahan in 2014, to discuss options to topple Mr Barnett from the Liberal leadership.

Ms Harvey today announced that the national surf life saving competition, the Aussies, would return to Scarborough Beach from 2018.

But the Minister has told Gary Adshead she expects to be by the Premier’s side as they fight for the chance to lead the state in March 2017.
