Perth LIVE presenter Oliver Peterson has revealed the reasons why he believes a plan to relax WA’s hard border will be announced within the next 10-days.

Premier Mark McGowan today congratulated Victoria on their efforts with restrictions set to ease from Wednesday.

With the Premier buoyed by the positive numbers and improvements in Victoria and NSW, Peterson said the Queensland election this Saturday coupled with the High Court challenge by Clive Palmer early next week and fresh health advice due from the Chief Health Officer makes for perfect timing to announce good news in time for Christmas.

“There will be some border movement or a game plan from the Premier which will enable more West Australians to come home and we will learn about that within the next 10-days,” said Peterson.
