Aussie basketball icon Andrew Gaze has gushed over the performance of Matthew Dellavedova’s in the NBA Finals. 

Dellavedova is only meant to have been a role player but an injury to Australian-born teammate Kyrie Irving has elevated his role. 

The Victorian scored 20 points and was critical in stopping league MVP Stephen Curry in Cleveland’s 96-91 game-three win. 

Cleveland lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
