GAME DAY: Swans too good for Eagles

The West Coast Eagles suffered through a goalless final term to lose to the Swans by 39-points at the SCG on Saturday afternoon. Despite a three goal surge in the third quarter and a brief lead in the game the Eagles scrappy skills gave Sydney a chance to kick goals from some of West Coast’s turnovers and run away with the game in the fourth term, 12.16(88) to 7.7(49).
The Eagles lead at the first break, but Sydney answered back to edge in front at half time. The second half showed promising signs for the visitors with Josh Kennedy, Jack Redden and Elliot Yeo kicking the Eagles three unanswered goals, but the Swans again answered back to take the reigns for the rest of the game.
Andrew Gaff and Matt Priddis got plenty of the ball with 32 and 28 disposals respectively, while Jeremy McGovern also made an impact on the game.
