Freo’s big fail on the MCG

Article image for Freo’s big fail on the MCG

The Fremantle Dockers have suffered a massive 77-point loss to the reigning Premiers, the Richmond Tigers, at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.

The Dockers were without their reliable forward, Michael Walters due to a knee injury suffered in last week’s derby loss, and his presence was missed with only four goals kicked for Freo and the 15.20 (110) to 4.9 (33) scoreline is the lowest score recorded by a team coached by Ross Lyon.

The Tigers were without their captain Trent Cotchin and Shaun Grigg, who both out injured but that didn’t make a difference to their dominance.

Hear how the game played out…

“We were always going to go down swinging and have a crack,” Alex Pearce told us after the game.

“They’re a very fast team,” Ross Lyon said after the loss.
