GAME DAY: Eagles take out Derby 43

The West Coast Eagles have taken the points from the 43rd Western Derby with a 33-point win over Fremantle at Domain Stadium on Saturday night.

Fremantle got out to an early lead but suffered a massive blow when ruckman, Aaron Sandilands was taken to hospital after a clash with Nic Naitanui in the second quarter.
The Eagles kicked three goals to one in the third quarter and took advantage of the Dockers depleted side, who were already missing skipper David Mundy with a calf concern.

The Eagles continued their run into the fourth quarter and ran out 12.20 (92) to 8.11 (59) winners, despite Matthew Pavlich doing his best to get Fremantle back in the game by kicking two goals in the final term.

Matt Priddis took out the Ross Glendinning medal with his 31 disposals, while Jack Darling kicked three goals for the Eagles.
