GAME DAY: Eagles take down Hawks

The West Coast Eagles have defeated the reigning Premiers by 25-points at Domain Stadium on Friday night. The Hawks were sitting on top of the ladder heading into the match, but the Eagles stood over them for the 13.14 (92) to 10.7 (67) win.

But it wasn’t all smooth going for West Coast with Nic Naitanui coming off late in the third quarter with a suspected knee injury, only moments after Hawthorn’s Jonathon Ceglar was also helped off the ground with an injury.

In his chase for the Coleman Medal, Kennedy kicked three goals in the first quarter and followed that up with another two with a handful of goals to finish the game.

Lewis Jetta made a welcomed return kicking a major in the first quarter and clocked up 13 disposals and five marks, while Andrew Gaff was brilliant around with ball for a career high 38 disposals.
