GAME DAY: Eagles fly into finals with win over Crows

Article image for GAME DAY: Eagles fly into finals with win over Crows

The West Coast Eagles have shown promise heading into the finals with their 29-point win over the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval pushing West Coast into the top four.

The Eagles controlled the game from start to finish, extending their lead at every break, but the Crows answered back a little in the final term.
But the Eagles weren’t without some stars with Josh Kennedy kicking four goals, Tom Barrass working hard and Matt Priddis’ handy disposals they came out clear winners for the 14.16 (100) to 10.11 (71) victory over the Crows.

The Crows struggled from the start with one of their leading goal kickers, Eddie Betts, not getting a touch until the second quarter and kicked his first and only goal just before half time for their first loss on their home ground this season.

?Barrass had an outstanding game in defence for his 17 disposals and 10 marks,  Priddis, 33 disposals, Andrew Gaff (44) and Luke Shuey (31) worked the ball cleanly through the midfield and Kennedy finished with five goals.
