Gaff contract extension close

West Coast Eagles fans can rest easy with reigning best and fairest Andrew Gaff saying he is close to signing a contract extension at the club.
The now 24-year-old Gaff won the John Worsfold medal and was named as an All-Australian in a season which finished in a sixth Grand Final appearance for the club.
Brian Waldron had suggested on Tuesday’s Sports Today that Richmond were interested in his services, but Gaff put an end to speculation on Wednesday’s show.
‘It’s getting pretty close guys, I think we’re just in the process of fixing up a few things,’ Gaff said.
‘I’m loving it over here and looking forward to continuing it.
‘The club’s in a very good position going forward with some young talent and some older guys playing well.
‘It’ll sort itself out in the next week or two I think.’
