Albany is rejoicing with local boy Darcy Cameron through to the 2023 AFL Grand Final following Collingwood’s thrilling one-point win over GWS.

Speaking with the 6PR call team following the win, Cameron heaped praise on teammate Jordan De Goey who inspired the Pies charge.

“He’s got the X-factor that we love. We’re lucky to have him.”

The Pies’ rooms were packed to the rafters; many of them from WA’s south, and Cameron is expecting even more requests ahead of the game’s biggest day.

“My Mum, Dad and brother from Albany are all here, some mates too, they’ve all flown over.”

“We had people asking (for tickets) bloody months ago.”
