The artwork ‘Petal-Driven Fairy Motor’ at Sculptures by the Sea was created by Jon Denaro and explores machines from a different reality.

 The Pickle District Chairperson Mr Denaro joined Oliver Peterson on Perth Live to discuss his piece Petal-Driven Fairy Motor. 

“This is my 14th Sculpture by the Sea and I normally do a big piece, this one is spiral based, it looks like a plant except the petals have turned into a turbine and then it has a root system that is up in the air at the end,” Mr Denaro said.

“Today, we’ve taken over the beach at Cottesloe, artists have taken over this beach, this gig lasts three weeks after that we might take over the world!”
