Expert slams supermarket-only cigarette plan as ‘not workable’
To combat the illegal cigarette black market, the Labor government is considering restricting all tobacco sales to supermarkets.

Rohan Pike, former head of the Australian Border Force’s Tobacco Strike Team, told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl he doesn’t support the proposal, arguing that safer and cheaper legal alternatives are needed.
“Just shutting down the distribution arm of the problem is not the solution,” he said.
