Premier Roger Cook has flagged new short-stay accommodation laws to create ‘balance in the housing market.

Premier Cook told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live the government is looking at all measures but a blanket rule isn’t in the works.

“There won’t be a blanket rule, what we will be doing is looking at the needs of different communities,” Cook said.

“We have to put regulations and controls in this because it’s having an impact upon the accommodation of workers and particularly people who are looking for rental accommodation.”
