A call to the Rumour File, tipped us off to the news that a northern suburbs soccer club could be linking with a Premier League club.

The owner of the Football Academy, Wangara spoke with Steve and Baz to confirm the partnership with Joondalup City Football Club after months of paperwork.

“It’s absolutely massive, it’s a real game changer for junior and NPL Football in Western Australia,” David Clayton told 6PR Breakfast.

“I went in there; I was in the very right place at the right time. My niece is actually an accountant there so we have a slight connection with Everton,” he confirmed.

And the partnership will be an all inclusion deal.
“Joondalup City probably has more female players than any other club in the NPL, I would say,” Mr Clayton added.
