Employment Minister Tony Burke has called the notion of bringing in federal legislation to prevent bosses from contacting employees out-of-hours as “very attractive” despite admitting he contacts his own staff post-5pm.

Mr Burke appeared on Q&A last night and was quizzed on the topic, which received a mixed reaction from the audience and his fellow panelists.
