With one of the highest enrolment rates in the world, and after the debacle of the WA state election, Perth Today host Simon Beaumont checks the plan the Australian Electoral Commission has in place heading into the polls.

Jeff Pope, Acting Australian Electoral Commissioner, discusses with Simon the plan for early and postal votes and defends the model used in a federal election.

“Our model is almost the direct opposite of what the West Australian Electoral Commission have used for their recent election,” he said.
