Eagles engine room has shifted up a gear

Adam Simpson has heaped praise on his midfield saying they have gone up a gear.
The Eagles started the season with two losses in the opening three rounds, but have only dropped one game against North Melbourne since.
‘We think in the last month our midfield has gone up a gear and it’s been a collective,’ Simpson said.
‘They’re really starting to grow some confidence.
‘On the weekend you look at Sydney’s midfield they were pretty much at full strength.
‘I thought the game was won and lost in the midfield for most of the day and in the second quarter we got good ascendancy in the midfield, for sure.’
Simpson also said Wil Schofield will be touch and go to play this week after injuring his calf in the win against Sydney.
