Article image for Concern over lack of Australians going to the dentist

Almost 70 per cent of Australians haven’t been to the dentist in more than two years.

And while the COVID pandemic has undoubtedly played a part for some, 25 per cent haven’t been in more than five years.

“Long waiting lists for public dentistry, price increases with private health insurance, the pandemic as well,” she said on Perth Live.

“I think definitely within the last two years… it does seem to be getting worse during this period.”
