Arthur Leggett, WA’s last surviving World War II hero and prisoner of war, will be laid to rest this weekend.

Sue Meagher, Arthur Leggett’s daughter, spoke to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont about her father’s legacy and encouraged the community to attend WA’s last military state funeral to pay their respects to the great man.

“I think he would be absolutely deeply honoured, of course, as we all are, that such a fuss is being made over him, but he was an incredible man, there’s no two ways about that,” she said.
