A new investigation has been launched into the murder of Stacey Thorne, a case that lead to 13 years of wrongful imprisonment of a man.

Scott Austic was found not guilty of murdering his former lover at a re-trial in 2019 and released, but Ms Thorne’s death remains a mystery.

The case is a complex one involving allegations of police evidence tampering and a potential false conviction, leaving a killer still on the loose.

Liam Bartlett spoke to Robyn Cottman on 6PR Mornings, a private investigator who has been engaged by the Thorne family to investigate the case from an unbiased perspective and to provide them with the answers they deserve.

“My motive in this is not financial. I am doing this at no cost to the family. I purely just want to give them some answers.”

Press PLAY to hear Robyn’s perspective on the police allegations and the Austic case.
