The hammer is expected to fall on Alistair Clarkson, with the AFL being urged to apply strict punishment to the North Melbourne coach over his alleged “grubby” comments to Jimmy Webster on the weekend.

Clarkson allegedly called Webster a “c**ksucker” in the Roo’s practice match against the Saints.

Nine News sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast he likely won’t be sacked, but will face a pretty heavy fine as the league looks to make a strong statement.

“He’s got a big rap sheet in this territory, and it seems he’s incapable of learning from his mistakes,” Mr Readings said.
