Clark Relishing Responsibility

Fremantle defender Jordan Clark says he’s relishing the responsibility of taking the opposition’s number one small forward.

With Brandon Walker out injured, Clark was approached by defensive coach Matthew Boyd to step up and cover some of the league’s most dangerous small forwards in recent weeks including Tom Papley, Tyson Stengle and, today, Charlie Cameron.

“Boydy came to me and said this is what we want you to be for the next few weeks and I just said; No worries at all, I’ll give it my best crack.”

“It’s a good challenge, I’m learning a lot out of it.”

Clark kept Cameron to 11 disposals and two goals but it wasn’t enough as Brisbane was able to hold off Fremantle to maintain their spot in the top four.
