Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took some time to perform an emotional tribute to his friend Shane Warne while performing in Perth last night.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast Martin apparently wrote the song the night before, after their first Perth show.

“You can hear that it’s still a work in progress, but it would be nice to think they could record it properly and raise some money for one of Shane’s charities,” Mr Ford said.

Mr Ford also discussed the mess of Barry Humphries’ memorial next month, with family and friends boycotting.
