Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers has urged Australians to consider the need to choose between “complacency and success” in his delivery of the sixth Intergenerational Report.

6PR National Politics Editor Michael Pachi told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons that despite the usual rhetoric, there wasn’t a whole lot to be taken from the report that hasn’t already been discussed.

“The challenges are the same; the population is ageing, so the questions are on how you deal with an ageing population and the increased pressure on the health and aged care systems,” Mr Pachi said.

“I think people really want to know what the solutions are to deal with the problems that are coming up.”
