Carnarvon community react to news of Cleo Smith found ‘alive and well’

The Carnarvon community is relieved after 4-year-old Cleo Smith was found early Wednesday morning after being missing for 18 days.
Shire President of Carnarvon Eddie Smith told Gareth Parker he was “utterly elated” at the news.
“Our police force have done a marvelous job,” he said.
“I am a bit emotional, I think the whole town is going to be emotional, what we have prayed for has happened.
“It is hard to put it into words, it is just wonderful.
“To our police and to everyone who didn’t give up, thank you so much.”

Gareth Parker was joined by Steve Cable who was running the SES teams that were searching for Cleo Smith.
Cable told 6PR Breakfast how the SES were involved in the search for the missing 4-year-old.
“Magnificent result, a very gratifying one as well,” he said.

Gareth Parker was joined by a pilot who helped with the search for Cleo Smith.
David Ammann, Pilot of Coral Coast Helicopter Services in Carnarvon, told 6PR Breakfast everyone is “stoked” with the result.
“We were pretty thoroughly involved, searching far and wide as we could,” he said.
