Shane Love, Shadow Minister for Electoral Affairs, told Perth Today host Chrissy Morrissy that he attributes the issue to an underfunded electoral commission and believes voters should be exempt from fines for this election.

“All these cutbacks, the lack of training, the lack of staff, the lack of any knowledge of how to conduct an election has led to this shemozzle,” he said.
