Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys’ band leader, has passed away at the age of 82.

Gavin Wood, former Countdown host, explained to 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that Brian was the creative force of the band and was still performing on stage with the Beach Boys only three months ago.

“They were all number-one hits in the 60s; they were huge, they were the biggest-selling band in America for many, many years,” he said.
