Construction of Perth’s new children’s hospital has been finished and the State Government has taken control from builder John Holland.

It’s not good news though as patients won’t be moving in until a lead contamination problem has been resolved.

Treasurer Ben Wyatt says the Government believes the source of the lead is brass fittings in the hospital, of which there are 5000.
