Brownlow medallist Ben Cousins has been jailed for one year, on a string of charges including aggravated stalking, breaching a violence restraining order, and drugs offences.

The 38 year old had previously pleaded guilty to the charges, after trying to contact his former partner more than two thousand times, despite a Violence Restraining Order.

Cousins’ lawyer Michael Tudori spoke outside court, after the sentence was handed down.
