6PR Breakfast co-host Basil Zempilas, and Lord Mayor candidate, is awaiting the results of the City of Perth election, but has informed the 6PR listeners that no matter the result, he will be finishing up his role with Steve Mills next month.

“I think we’d all acknowledge, it’s pretty difficult to work for Channel 7 and for Channel 9, and it was a difficulty I felt a bit this year, you are torn and you want to be loyal to both,” Zempilas said on 6PR.
“But at times you just can’t be, you can’t be all things to all people.”

His co-host agreed, but said it’s been a job well done.

“You’ve walked that line pretty well to be honest, it hasn’t been an easy line to walk,” Mills replied.
