WA Young Australian of the Year, Kate Kirwin, is this week’s guest on Backstories on 6PR’s Afternoons.

Born in Karratha and growing up in Bunbury, Kate strongly believes in empowering women in some of Australia’s most remote regions.

She is now encouraging women from all over to take up coding through her company ‘SheCodes’ having sourced more than $1 million from the government and industry to help support women in STEM.
