The West Australian police community has come together and recognised the heartfelt support of the public at large following the tragic passing of Constable Anthony Woods.

WA Police Officers Union Acting President Paul Gale told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings he was a much-loved and well recognised member of the force, despite just being at the start of his career.

“This is part of policing; we know it’s dangerous, but it still doesn’t take away the hurt and the gut-wrenching aftermath of this,” Mr Gale said.
