Leigh Matthews has shared his concerns over a push for a mid-season AFL trade period, saying it could “open the door” to player poaching.

Nine News sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the AFL would be following in other sporting league’s footsteps if they were to adopt the trade system.
