Scientists have claimed they have developed the first ethical algorithm.

The algorithm claims to weigh up the best bad choice within a split second while driving, such as who should the autonomous vehicle kill.

COSMOS Magazine journalist Petra Stock told 6PR Afternoons she would not trust an autonomous vehicle.

“Humans overestimate the capability of computers to make decisions,” said Ms Stock.
