Controversial ‘Our Watch’ program in WA schools

Young school children will be taught to ignore gender stereotypes and respect relationships under a State Government plan to fight domestic violence.

WA is following other states by introducing the ‘Our Watch’ program that pushes respectful relationships in schools.

Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence Minister Simone McGurk says the Government will start to work with Our Watch about implementing strategies butĀ Opposition spokesman for child protection Nick Goiran says schools shouldn’t be hijacked with adult agendas.
