“He didn’t panic.” Trainee pilot lands a miracle
A trainee pilot was left to land a plane at Jandakot airport alone after his instructor lost consciousness during the flight. Max Sylvestor was left to take instructions from the air traffic controller and a back up instructor, meanwhile his wife was at Australia’s busiest airport watching on.
“He was a very switched on guy; he didn’t panic. He was coming to the end of his lesson so he was near the field,” the owner of the flight school, Chuck McElwee told 6PR Breakfast.
