The Corrective Services Commissioner says drugs are an issue in our jails, as he outlines a plan to keep prisoners clean.

James McMahon wants to reward prisoners who return clean drug tests, with better paying jobs behind bars and educational opportunities.

WA Labor says the plan isn’t tough enough but Mr McMahon has told 6PR Mornings with Gary Adshead that it’s a good approach.

Gary also spoke to former prisoner Shannon who called into the show.
