Hinkley lauds Wingard

Ken Hinkley has lauded praise on Chad Wingard while reflecting on a disappointing 2015 season and delivering his thoughts on the AFL’s illicit drugs policy.

Port Adelaide finished third in 2014, but have missed the finals this season and take on Fremantle in their last match of 2015.

Wingard has kicked 53 goals in his 21 games in 2015 and Hinkley said he should be a lock for the All-Australian team.

‘If he’s not there’s something wrong,’ he said.

‘I don’t normally push up individuals, but you can’t have a season like Chad’s had and not be a part of the best team of the competition.

‘People forget he had a knee operation six weeks out from the start of the season. He played the Fremantle game off one training session.’
