Former teammate Luke McPharlin says time might be up for injury-prone footballer Anthony Morabito.

The Mandurah product burst onto the scene in 2010 when he played 23 games and looked certain to become a star as a big-bodied midfielder.

However, three knee reconstructions have cruelled the 24-year-old’s career, with his last AFL games in 2014.

Morabito has played the last two weeks for Peel in the WAFL a pair of hamstring injuries have curtailed his season.

When asked by Karl Langdon whether time was up on his career, McPharlin, after a long pause, replied: ‘Yep, I think the time is up, unfortunately.’

‘He’s a terrific person.’
